It really is.”I’ve been very fortunate to play in big derbies, but for me personally this one tops it.”When the draw was made, I just couldn’t wait for the fixture and when I got the nod to play I was just so excited to step over the white line and do my best for the club.”

SYRACUSE, NY – NOVEMBER 8: General view of Syracuse Orange basketball game against Cornell Big Red on November 8, 2013 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. (Photo by Brett Carlsen/Getty Images)Syracuse only has two games remaining this basketball season, but tonight’s game at the Carrier Dome promises to be a special one. Center Rakeem Christmas will be honored as Syracuse’s lone senior, capping a phenomenal season that saw him go from three year role player to one of the best post players in the nation. Christmas is also extremely popular due to his strong connection with the Syracuse community, and his general affability. To celebrate the game, someone built this fantastic Christmas snowman on the Syracuse campus. It features his signature scraggly beard, as well as a Santa Claus hat. Happy Gameday, #OrangeNation. Antonio Rudiger has said Chelsea should be ashamed of their performance against Bournemouth on Wednesday night. The Blues lost 4-0 on the south coast, causing manager Maurizio Sarri to lock his players in the dressing room for 45 minutes after the game, as he searched for answers to Chelsea’s subpar showing. While Rudiger did not offer an explanation as to what happened on Wednesday, he did claim the performance – which ended in Sarri’s side suffering the club’s worst league defeat for 23 years – was unacceptable. We went out and they scored after two minutes then things went very badly. Nothing came from us – N’Golo [Kante] had a half chance but that was it.”If you look at the view of football, we made it too easy for Bournemouth by losing the ball up front – everyone knows Bournemouth are going on the counter, and they were waiting for this.”We have played better this season and that’s what hurts, we didn’t really try to change this result, that is what is badRudiger has called for calm after the shock defeat and believes that Chelsea’ success during the remainder of the season will depend on their mental strength.“We call ourselves a top team, but this cannot happen to us,”he said.“We have to be mentally strong for the rest of the season. It’s clear now, we are Chelsea, there has been a lot of criticism from outside but here we must be cool in our mind and be honest with ourselves.”Tactics is not my business because I am not the coach, I am a player, but everyone needs to commit again“We need to go back to basics because it’s not normal for a Bournemouth player to take on four defenders and go through.”Those basics are to win challenges, to look for challenges. It’s nice if you have possession but everyone needs to know what their job is, which is, first and foremost, getting a clean sheet.”We have to find continuity because right now there are too many ups and downs. We have to win against Huddersfield and show a big reaction after the Bournemouth defeat.”The Blues will look to bounce back when they host bottom side Huddersfield Town on Saturday. Kyler Murray MLB Draft update: the Oklahoma quarterback continues to be an exciting outfield prospect. Murray, who is projected to take over for Baker Mayfield for the Sooners, is having an excellent season on the diamond. That has many wondering if he’ll even be in Norman this fall.Last month, ESPN baseball expert Keith Law raved about Murray as a baseball prospect. He ranked him as the No. 36 prospect in the country, and said that his stock could rise if he was to focus on baseball. From The Oklahoman:“Murray is slated to start at quarterback this fall for the Sooners, but if he’s finally ready to play baseball full time, his plus-plus speed and contact-oriented swing would make him a first-round pick — especially since he’s played fairly well since moving into the Sooners’ lineup in the third weekend of the spring.”On the season, Murray is hitting .295, with nine home runs and 44 RBIs. He also has three outfield assists, flashing the arm that Sooner fans hope dazzles on the gridiron in a few months. The main Kyler Murray MLB Draft concern for Oklahoma football is that he could be in line for a big guaranteed deal if he goes early. The MLB Draft is set for June 4-6. If Murray is taken in the first few rounds, as is projected, he could be offered over $1 million in guaranteed money. His stock seems to be rising. 247Sports college baseball analyst Kyle Peterson says he is among the most exciting prospects in the sport right now:“From a scout’s standpoint, when you look at Kyler Murray, you see potential—and a ton of it,” said college baseball analyst Kyle Peterson. “The power potential is there. You can’t teach power. You can’t teach speed. He has both of those things, and when he has a chance to play this game on a consistent basis…He’s not a premier defender yet in center, but you can teach him to be a premier defender in center field because he has the speed most people don’t have.“Is there a possibility Kyler Murray gets enough money, enough of an offer from a major league club that he says, ‘You know what—sorry, Sooners, I’m out of here?’ I don’t know. I tell you one thing with absolute certainty: There’s a significant future for him in this game. I don’t know when. But he’s an exciting prospect. And to me, as exciting a prospect in the outfield as we have in college baseball just because the upside is so good.”Lincoln Riley is not worried about it, at least publicly. Associated Press college football writer Ralph D. Russo had Riley on his latest podcast, and the coach said he is comfortable with the situation.“Yeah, I don’t really have any concerns with it,” Riley said. “You know, Kyler and I have had some good, private conversations about it, and I’m comfortable where he and his family are at with it and I think he’s comfortable where we’re at with it. So we’ll proceed and certainly expect to have him.”If the Kyler Murray MLB Draft selection results in him leaving Oklahoma, the Sooners will likely turn to sophomore Austin Kendall to start at quarterback. Kendall didn’t see time last season, while Murray was 18-for-21 for 359 yards, three touchdowns, as well as 142 rushing yards in relief of Mayfield.[247Sports; Associated Press]
AUSTIN, TX – SEPTEMBER 19: A general view of fans before a game between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Texas Longhorns at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on September 19, 2009 in Austin, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)Rivalry games have been one of the great losses of conference realignment. There are a few major games that have not been played since teams started shifting leagues. The most notable may be Texas vs. Texas A&M.The Aggies left for the SEC in 2012. For those first few years, with Johnny Manziel under center, it looked like A&M might leave Texas behind. Instead, they’ve come back to the pack, and now both schools have made recent coaching changes. The Longhorns and Aggies have had plenty of clashes in recruiting over top in-state players. There is definitely plenty of animosity remaining. To this point, there hasn’t been a lot of public momentum for the series to be renewed. However, there may be a spark now.New Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte, who recently came over from TCU, said that he’d like to bring it back “at some point.” It is unclear what the timetable could be, but it is good to hear that it is at least under consideration.Del Conte spoke to Dallas Morning News writer Chuck Carlton about the future of the dormant Texas vs. Texas A&M rivalry.Chris Del Conte on renewing UT/A&M football rivalry: “At some point and time we will pick up our rivalry. It’s important to our state and important to our fan base. I’m assuming when it’s appropriate and ready, we’ll play…We’d like to do that, it’s just matching up schedules.”— Chuck Carlton (@ChuckCarltonDMN) May 30, 2018Don’t get too excited yet, Aggies and Longhorns. Finding space on the schedule is a whole other issue.Texas currently has marquee opponents booked through 2027. This season, the ‘Horns play USC and Maryland, and from there, games against LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio State are on the books.A&M’s nearest availability is likely not until 2026. The Aggies have games booked against Clemson in 2018 and 2019, and Colorado, Miami, and Notre Dame through 2025.Games do occasionally get pushed or cancelled to make room for others, and if there is a real desire by UT and A&M brass to get this done, it could happen. For now, we have to settle on some vaguely hopeful words.
ANN ARBOR, MI – OCTOBER 22: Head coach Jim Harbaugh leads the team onto the field while playing the Illinois Fighting Illini on October 22, 2016 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michigan won the game 41-8. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh brought in a heralded recruiting class in 2016. His haul was ranked in the top 10 nationally. Now, it looks like two players from that group are set to leave the program. Their departure has been rumored for several days.Yesterday, Harbaugh mentioned that two players were transferring from Michigan. Internet murmurings claimed the players were running back Kareem Walker and wide receiver Kekoa Crawford. Now, a report from WTOL-11’s Jordan Strack states that Walker and Crawford are indeed leaving.Jim Harbaugh referenced 2 players leaving Michigan yesterday…I’m told that internet speculation is true: Kareem Walker & Kekoa Crawford are transferring.— Jordan Strack (@JordanStrack) June 5, 2018Both Walker and Crawford were four-star recruits in the 2016 cycle. Walker was the 107th-rated player nationally, while Crawford was No. 118.Walker didn’t play in 2016 and then never cracked the lineup much in 2017. He received just 20 carries, rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown.Crawford caught four passes in 2016 and increased that number to 12 in 2017. He caught one touchdown pass in each of the last two seasons.Obviously, Michigan has other players at these positions, but its always disappointing to see major recruits fail to thrive when they get to your program.
